Resident Evil 4, 5, 6 Announced for PS4, Xbox One

Capcom has revealed that Resident Evils 4, 5, and 6 are being remastered for PS4 and Xbox One.

Fans of the Resident Evil franchise on PS4 and Xbox One have had plenty of reasons to be excited. Though Resident Evil 7 is nowhere in sight, Capcom has been very good about bringing back the classics for the new consoles. Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil Remake both got remasters, and even Resident Evil 2 is getting a remake. Now, we can add three more titles to the growing list of Resident Evil games on PS4 and Xbox One.

Starting on March 29, Resident Evils 4, 5, and 6 will launch on Sony and Microsoft’s latest consoles. Resident Evil 6 kicks things off on March 29. Players will get all the original content, plus all the additional post-launch DLC. Resident Evil 5 follows this summer, and Resident Evil 4 caps it all off this fall. We don’t have as many details regarding these remasters, but we can assume they will also include all post-launch DLC. All three games will be $20 each, which equals the price of one brand new game should you buy all three.

Originally released on the Gamecube, Resident Evil 4 is considered one of the best games ever created and has been ported to almost every console imagineable. PS2, iOS, Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 all got ports. Resident Evil 5, though divisive, is still considered a good game. Resident Evil 6, however, was slammed by fans and critics upon its 2012 release. Hopefully Capcom can clean up some of the criticism towards the game before its PS4 and Xbox One release.
