Nintendo and Capcom have announced that Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition will be available to download for Wii U this week.

Resident Evil 4 is generally considered the best entry in franchise, and the Wii Edition ended up being a fantastic port. The motion controls worked well, and the game came packaged with all the bonus content from the PS2 version. It was great back when it launched in 2007, and Wii U players can enjoy it again when it launches on the Nintendo eShop on February 4.

Just a fair warning, this is the Wii Edition of Resident Evil 4. It does not contain the visual updates seen in the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, and will likely not support the Wii U Gamepad. This is just a straight port, and you will need a Wiimote and Nunchuck.

You can download Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition tomorrow from the Nintendo eShop. No pricing info yet, but like other Wii titles on Wii U, it will most likely cost $20.
