Amid all the fun of PAX East, Harmonix has announced their most recent installment to the Rock Band series will allow players to face-off against one another in online multiplayer. Rock Band 4 was released back in October but fans have been craving for more rockin' content to enjoy. Harmonix has listened to requests and decided to release the synchronous online multiplayer function in Winter 2016 just in time for the holidays.

This feature will play similarly to Quickplay mode. There will also be modifications made for players who match up and do not have the same DLC content. There have been a number of new updates to Rock Band 4 since its release and a lot more to come. Harmonix plans on revealing even bigger surprises at E3 2016. This update has so far only been announced for PlayStation 4 users with no word yet on the Xbox One version.

Stay tuned for more information and check out the online multiplayer announcement below.
