In a nice surprise, Rocket League Developer Psyonix has rolled out the newest patch for Rocket League, which is now available for download on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The newest patch sees the official release of "Hoops", a new mode that attempts to mimic the March Madness action from a few weeks ago.

Replacing the traditional soccer ball for a flashier basketball, this new mode come with a new map, complete with hardwood floors and a modified goal, which is essentially an enlarged basketball hoop. 'Hoops' can be played in casual and private matches, as well as against AI opponents in exhibition matches.

The new patch also adds a host of new functionalities, including the ability to allow players to auto-save replays mid-game, as well as the option to name and rename replays. A handful of free community, video game and country themed flags have also been added, allowing you to deck out your vehicle even more. NBA fans can also purchase an NBA Flag Pack, which adds 30 NBA team flags to your collection.

A full patch note for the PlayStation 4 and PC versions can be found here, while a separate list of patch notes for the Xbox One version can be found here.
