The last time we were given a truly great live-action Street Fighter movie was... never actually. Alright, the first Street Fighter movie still has its charm, it really does! One of those so bad it's good sort of things. The live-action movie they released a few years back about Chun Li? That was bad no matter how you looked at it. Even the anime feature films were okay at best.

Hopefully this track record will improve with the launch of Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist, a live-action web series which is also set to air on television followed by a DVD/Blu-ray release. This is shaping up to be a really cool live-action adaptation, focusing on the back story and origins of Ryu and Ken, a story that most hardcore fans of the series are well aware of and has always been vaguely hinted in the video games.
