Developer Flying Wild Hog, together with publisher Devolver Digital, have today confirmed that first week sales of Shadow Warrior 2 are four times that of the 2013 reboot -- proving both fans and critics alike have been impressed with the glorious return of Wang (ourselves included). "We could not be happier with the reception of Shadow Warrior 2," Michal Szustak, studio director at Flying Wild Hog explained. "We're a small studio with only about 75 people, and each of us poured our hearts and souls into making a bigger, different experience for Shadow Warrior 2. That our fans and critics have largely applauded our efforts means the absolute world to us."

To celebrate the achievement, the studio has also put out a video (below) that takes viewers "behind the schemes" at Flying Wild Hog as they wrap development on Shadow Warrior 2 and go through the necessary processes covering game design decisions, artistic liberties and of course the most important aspect of them all: motion capturing bunny rabbits. The studio is already hard at work on the first series of post-release content which will be made free to the community at an unspecified date in the near future. Shadow Warrior 2 is currently out now on PC with a PS4 iteration expected to drop sometime early next year.
