After a successful Kickstarter campaign three years ago, WayForward and XSEED have produced the latest entry in the Shantae franchise, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero.

To celebrate the first HD entry in the popular platforming series, WayForward has released a launch trailer which can be seen below. In addition to the digital release, XSEED Games is assisting with putting out physical copies of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, including the “Risky Beats” Limited Edition, which features a free thirty-track soundtrack of the game’s background music. The fourth entry in the Shantae franchise stars the scantily-dressed hero as she once again takes on the pirate Risky Boots in an attempt to save not only her own world, but the Genie Realm as well.

The “Risky Beats” Edition of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is available now on PS4 and Vita, with a Wii U release occuring next week. Additionally, the regular version of the game will be available digitally on the above three platforms, in addition to Xbox One and PC.
