JRPG purists may have been a little put-off when developer Atlus stepped away from the core Shin Megami Tensei formula when they developed the more recent, and widely popular, Persona games, but that doesn't mean the mainline Shin Megami Tensei titles didn't get any love. The latest installment on the series, Shin Megami Tensei IV on the Nintendo 3DS is actually getting its own sequel next year in the form of Shin Megami Tensei IV Final. Featuring around 450 recruit-able demons, revamped demon recruitment conversations, and much more, Shin Megami Tensei IV Final will have a neutral affinity route in terms of story, with multiple endings. Atlus has released an updated trailer today for the upcoming follow-up, showing some snippets of anime cutscenes, and a peek at the game's new content.

See the updated, second trailer for Shin Megami Tensei IV Final below.  Shin Megami Tensei IV Final will hit Japanese shelves next year, February 10, for Nintendo 3DS. No news yet on a Western release.
