After wowing several crowds at EGX 2017 with their new VR game, UK-based developers nDreams are now proud to announce a release date for Shooty Fruity, a game about blasting away mutated fruit while working your shift at the supermarket. The insane citrus-soaked shooting gallery will be hitting all major VR platforms on December 19, and with this announcement come the new "Juicy Perks" trailer, which you can check out below.

We jokingly mentioned in our most recent Screenshot Saturday feature that the title for the game should tell you everything you need to know, but as seen in the new clip, it's a a bit more complex than that. In fact, the developers describe it more as a hybrid of Job Simulator and an FPS, where you still have to perform your scanning and bagging duties (among other things) as a cashier at the Super Megamart to make sure you don't get fired while fending off the genetically-modified sentient produce with a variety of weapons you can grab or purchase during breaks. It looks like a potential blast indeed, and we'll see if that's the case when Shooty Fruity comes out for Oculus Rift, PSVR, and HTC Vive next month.
