Shovel Knight has become sort of a religion to us at Hardcore Gamer. In fact, you'd have to be a pretty awful human being to not like Shovel Knight, and you honestly don't want to be that guy who calls it overrated.

We loved Shovel Knight when it first landed on the Wii U and 3DS, and it would go on to win Hardcore Gamer's Best Platformer of the Year, Best Wii U Game of the Year, Best New IP of the Year, and was even a runner up to our Game of the Year 2014. Shovel Knight is making its way to Sony systems soon and even getting an expansion, but Xbox One owners will be getting their hands on this amazing platformer adventure soon enough as well.
