PC Games Show definitely did not disappoint this year, as many exciting projects made their debut during the showcase. One of Modus Games' contributions was Soulstice: a dark fantasy hack-n-slasher following the struggles of Briar and Lute. Joined together as a "Chimera" the twin sisters have no choice but to carve their way through the "Wraith" horde and see their missions through. There are two questions though: will it make a difference, and does that even matter to them?

Soulstice tasks players with controlling both Briar and Lute simultaneously. Briar has strength to spare and will be the one handling physical attacks and combos. Meanwhile, Lute can influence the battle with magical abilities. What exactly these are remains to be seen. As they progress, players can find a wealth of weapons to master wield freely; they can even be switched mid-combo a la Devil May Cry.

Upgrading both character's abilities will be essential to success too.  Players can also expect to encounter differing enemy classes and puzzle elements as they progress through Soulstice's grim story and world. It looks like it'll be a bitter fight, so hopefully it'll turn out to be a journey worth taking.

Soulstice is currently slated for a 2022 release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
