Nintendo has slowly been building its competitive base since their last generation console, the Wii U. Thanks to games like Splatoon, Mario Kart 8, Pokkén Tournament and Super Smash Bros. they have gained more players wanting to duke it out on a grand stage. This year during E3, two huge tournaments are about to go down as part of the Nintendo Switch era.

First up is the Splatoon 2 World Championship 2018. Top squads from around the world will converge on Los Angeles and go head to head in battle. Teams from Japan, U.S. & Canada, Europe and Australia & New Zealand are eligible. If you wish to give it a try, register your team on Battlefy. The competition will be fierce, good luck!

Then, we will all get our first look at the upcoming Super Smash Bros. title for the Nintendo Switch. Since its surprise reveal during the latest Nintendo Direct, fans have been clamoring for more information. During the Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 everyone gets to see the game in action. They video below does not show off any gameplay but checking the official website for this announcement reveals it is the Switch version that will be showcased in competition.
