Square Enix, Team Ninja Team Up for Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin

Square Enix, Team Ninja, and Koei Tecmo Games today revealed Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin.

Square Enix’s rumored Nioh-esque title is real. During today’s Square Enix Presents, the publisher formally unveiled the title with an extensive gameplay trailer. Tetsuya Nomura and Kazushige Nojima will team up with Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo Games for the title. The game’s story serves as a prequel to the original Final Fantasy.

In Stranger of Paradise, you play as Jack who, alongside with his allies Ash and Jed, seek to defeat Chaos. Players will into a world of dark fantasy in this action-filled titled, and they won’t have to wait too long to try it out. A trial version of the game will be made available for download today on PS5 that runs through June 24. In the trial, players will get a taste of the game’s combat by battling an array of iconic monsters from the franchise, using powerful spells and abilities from a sample of jobs, including warrior, dragoon, and black mage.

Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin launches sometime in 2022 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
