Guile was officially revealed yesterday for Street Fighter V, but his trailer dropped just this morning. Sporting his formal Air Force attire, the familiar tune of Guile's theme kicks up as Guile begins to lay the hurt on Alex. The new rendition of Guile's theme is serviceable, with soft guitars that make for a more laid back track rather than the intensity of the IV composition. The classic airport stage looks good in motion. The bright colors gives it a nice clean and smooth look. In Street Fighter II the crates on the stage could be broken, but it doesn't look to be the case here. Guile confirmed a strong hit twice on Alex close to the crate on the furthest one, but it didn't break. The spacing could be more precise in the final game or perhaps it hasn't been implemented yet.

On the gameplay front, we discover that Guile can move while crouching. This makes him the only character in the game to have that ability and it will give Guile a stronger space to play mind games with the opponent. With the crouch walk he can move while also charging a flash kick. This will no doubt be a common technique for pro scene when players will get their hands on Guile at the end of the month.  Guile overall looks to be a stronger character in this game compared to IV. His V-Skill seems good to control space and his V-Trigger looks to be a great contender for a combo extender and should rack up some nice damage.

Capcom announced that he will be available as free DLC sometime this month, but if precedent is to go by, I would expect it will be within the last couple days. What do you think of the new Guile? Let us know in the comments below.
