Heading into the realm of the twisted even more so than its predecessor, The Evil Within 2 sees now-former detective Sebastian Castellanos discovering that his daughter Lily may actually be still alive and in the hands of the corporation Mobius, who are using her to create Union, a world that connects human minds together. So Sebastian now has to journey through Union, but the serial killers used for experiments who have left their own imprint in this hellish dimension won't make it easy. And now Bethesda would like to introduce you to one of these killers, insane artist Stefano Valentini, seen in the new trailer below.

A former war photographer who lost his marbles after being blinded in one eye, Stefano became obsessed with capturing the exact moments right before death as a person accepts their fate. Of course, as you may have guessed, he decided to take matters into his own hands when it came to producing those moments. So combine a mad artist with a flair for the theatrical with a dimension where he can potentially bend reality to his will, and you've got a recipe for some disturbing yet fascinating imagery. Stefano isn't the game's main antagonist, of course, but if the others can leave an impression as memorable as his, The Evil Within 2 may indeed have what it takes to top the original and produce some amazing psychological horror, and we'll see if it can when it comes out on October 13 for PC, PS4, and XB1.
