Korea loves its video games and its athletes so they've released a short little promo for the start of the season.

This isn't all you can expect either as they tend to go all out on match day. There will more than likely be a 30 minute intro dull of dancing and singing by a k-pop group followed by team introductions before everything starts. It's also worth noting this is an average thing per match day.

The most important part about this announcement though is that the defending champions will be taking the stage first. This isn't the same team that won it all though as they've lost their top laner and Worlds MVP, Marin. They've ended up replacing him with Najin's Duke, but it won't be the same to say the least.

Here are the day one matchups:

  • CJ Entus vs. SKT T1
  • Afreeca Freecs vs. KT Rolster

There are only two matches because the LCK plays a best of 3 format so they'll take all day. You can catch LCK matches every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
