Well, all good things must come to an end, and that includes tinyBuild's "Four-nification" week. Capping off their four-day event of game reveals, though, is Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor from Sundae Month. Curiously billing itself as an "anti-adventure" game, you play as the titular Janitor, an Alaensee woman tasked with cleaning up garbage with an Incinitron at the spaceport of Xabran's Rock, hoping for the day she finally gets to leave this planet. Oh, and then there are the parts about eating hallucinogenic eyeballs and being cursed by a screaming skull that follows you around. You know, your typical custodial job.
Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor is due out this Spring on Steam, although you can sign up for the beta on tinyBuild's site for the game at the above link. The trailer below doesn't reveal much in terms of gameplay, but does showcase a snazzy blend of retro pixel art and 3D graphics, while giving us a larger view of the game's world. Throw in a few shades of the Space Quest and Deponia games, and this does look like one to definitely watch out for, even if it is "anti" adventure.
And that brings "Four-nification" week to a close! For those who want a quick recap of the game announcements from it, we had The Final Station, Road to Ballhalla, Lovely Planet Arcade, and now Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor, all due out this year. So yes, it kind of goes without saying that tinyBuild has a stellar 2016 mapped out for them.
