At PAX West 2017, indie publishers tinyBuild were initially all ready to debut a mysterious new game. All we knew of it then was that it would be a top-down action game, accompanied by a single part of a screenshot. Sadly, the team then decided at the last minute that the game wasn't ready for the public, and that was the last we had ever heard of it...until today's Nindies-related Direct and tinyBuild's own Hello Switch event, which finally gave us our first look at Garage, from developers Zombie Dynamics.

As mentioned, the game is a top-down shooter, with a style designed as an ode to the b-movies of the VHS era. You play as Butch, an ex-drug dealer that now battles hordes of mutants and the undead with a variety of weapons, various "power-ups," and a sense of humor, as the initial trailer below clearly shows. Notably, Garage is now an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch that's due out on May 10, and will be showcased at PAX East 2018, so you won't have to wait long to get your hands on some extra-gory action. And make sure to stay tuned to Hardcore Gamer for any possible impressions of the game or new details, as always.
