A two-man independent game development studio is working on something special. Launching on June 8 on STEAM, developer Storyline Time is releasing a third-person survival horror game that focuses on the roots of the genre. The game will be ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for a Q3 2018 release. The game is called Crying is not Enough and will have players face enemies using weapons and other survival mechanisms along with solving puzzles that are all fueled by a slowly progressing story. The game has been in development for five years and is finally launching. The trailer below shows off the atmosphere and the type of challenges to expect in the game.

As for the story, it revolves around Jacob Helten, a 35 year-old whose wife, Claire, had a serious injury in a car accident. Claire began to improve in the hospital and prior to getting discharged, she mysteriously disappeared from the hospital. An unknown woman approaches Jacob later that night and informs Jacob she knows where his wife is and is willing to help. From here, a dark journey begins in a mysterious and distant place where Jacob will learn that his wife disappearing is just a small piece of the puzzle. Crying is not Enough looks to take cues from Alan Wake, The Evil Within and Silent Hill. Check out the trailer below along with the images.
