Valley, the new first-person exploration game from Blue Isle Studios, wowed us all a bit when we saw its lengthy gameplay trailer about a month ago, filled with fast-paced, gravity-defying action. But that video didn't provide a lot of information concerning the game's plot, which is remedied by this new trailer announcing the release date for Valley - August 24 - which also provides more insight into the game's world.

Apparently, the titular Valley is a mystical land hidden within the Rocky Mountains, filled with verdant landscapes, a wide variety of unique flora and fauna, and the Lifeseed, a relic that happens to act as a global bringer of death. Your job is to retrieve the Lifeseed so that it's power can be used for good, all while exploring this vast world and confronting those who want the opposite from the relic. Judging by some of the visuals in the trailer, it looks like an alternate World War II scenario may also be involved in one way or another, but we'll learn more about just what's going on in The Valley when the game comes out next month for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
