After launching on PC, via Steam, developer Outsider Games has taken to consoles next with their adventure game: Wailing Heights. Players take on the role of Frances Finklestein, former manager of the now-deceased rock band The Deadbeats. Finklestein is invited to do a gig at an odd town of Wailing Heights and is charged with the crime of being alive. Once a cellmate teaches him the power of possessing people and animals, it becomes apparent that Wailing Heights is a place of undead and monster people. But possessing people allows Finkelstein to navigate the otherworldly town, utilizing each possession victim's natural, monster-themed talents to traverse the odd streets and solve puzzles. Utilizing a comic art style and presentation, as well as musically-minded mechanics and soundtrack, Wailing Heights may just be novel enough to garner attention.
