A lot of people have assumed that the recently released Mario Kart 8 DLC track Mute City was taken from an F-Zero game, when in reality, it was simply inspired by the franchise. That’s not stopping Uchiha Madao, however, who has recreated the track in the N64’s F-Zero X. While the visuals of course can’t come close to what Mario Kart 8 offers, the track design is surprisingly close to it. If anything, it’s just cool to see what the track would look and play like in an F-Zero setting.
As an aside, it’s shocking how blazing the framerate was for F-Zero X back in 1997.
