Max Payne and Alan Wake developer Remedy Entertainment released on Friday a new promotional video for the forthcoming third-person action-adventure shooter title Quantum Break.

The video, which is titled ‘Remedy Heroes Play Quantum Break,’ is less than a minute long and features two of the main protagonists from Remedy’s past titles -- Max Payne and Alan Wake -- trying out Quantum Break.

Remedy has assembled an A-list cast for Quantum Break, which includes actors Shawn Ashmore (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Dominic Monaghan (Lost) and Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones).

Quantum Break’s creative director, Sam Lake, confirmed in February that the studio’s latest IP had officially gone gold, which means that development on the title had been finished.

Quantum Break, which was unveiled at the Xbox One reveal event in May 2013, is scheduled to launch worldwide on April 5 for Xbox One and PC.

Hardcore Gamer has reviewed Quantum Break, believing that “At the very least the story is compelling, and while the in-between show isn’t going to win any awards, it’s still better than expected.”

“It’s also visually striking, especially with the various time warping effects going on around the environment, and it helps recognizable actors and actress signed on to fill the cast,” Quantum Break reviewer Adam Beck explained.

“Unfortunately, whether it’s the unremarkable shooting mechanics, questionable conclusion or the disappointing final boss, there’s a lot that weighs the experience down. Quantum Break is a great game at heart, but it comes with a lot of underutilized potential.”
