CNN reported that during a briefing dealing with ISIS, State Department spokesman John Kirby publicly called out a reporter for playing Pokémon GO.

As Kirby delivered his statement about the efforts of the anti-ISIS coalition, he noticed a reporter playing the augmented reality game and paused to call him out: "You're playing the Pokémon thing right now, aren't you?"

The reporter, who remains unidentified, admitted that yes, he was playing it. "I'm just keeping an eye on it," he said.

At the end of the statement, before opening up for questions, Kirby addressed the reporter again, asking, "Did you get one?" The reporter responded, "No. The signal is not very good," for which Kirby cheekily apologized.

Whether or not you like Pokémon GO, you have to admit that the popularity of it is pretty astounding. Even in a State Department briefing about ISIS can you find some dude trying to catch 'em all.
