Legacy of the Void is Blizzard's upcoming third and final chapter in the overall StarCraft II trilogy, and you can watch its opening cinematic today.

Each of Blizzard's StarCraft II expansions, so far encompassing Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm, are standalone packs, so you won't need either of the aforementioned to play Legacy of the Void.

Legacy of the Void will focus once again on the Protoss race with Artanis as the main character and a creature called Amon as the primary antagonist. Blizzard's Chris Metzen likened the story to the film 300 in that a small force will hold its last stand against a much larger one. The expansion will also feature new units and elements of diplomacy in the gameplay, tasking players with balancing alliances with different Protoss tribes to advance.

StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void releases on November 10, 2015 and will conclude the trilogy.
