Retro platformer Yooka-Laylee just got a new trailer for Gamescom 2016 and it's a doozy, showing off mechanics, creative environments and of course, underwater farting.

Developer Playtonic Games made a splash with Yooka-Laylee's Kickstarter success, promising a game that harkens back to fan favorite N64 classic Banjo-Kazooie while carving out a new platformer of its own. Playtonic's latest trailer shows off exactly that, a game that borrows elements from the classics without feeling like a retread. You can see in the trailer some familiar platforming action as well as new mechanics, and you can see how the pages of a book you'll be collecting to progress to the next level function similar to Banjo-Kazooie's puzzle pieces.

Yooka-Laylee will be released during the first quarter of 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, Windows, Linux and iOS.
