There's always room for another good twin-stick shooter, especially if it's a sequel to Waves.  The arena shooter may have been a standard take on the genre but it did it with style, skill, and plenty of game modes to twist the rules around.  The sequel has been in the works for a fair percentage of 2015, and now it's only a week off before Waves² lands on Early Access on December 16, with a planned stay of roughly six months for user feedback and general polish.  Also more game modes, weapons, enemies, and other goodies, because it's Early Access and that's what it's for.  Waves² doesn't look to stray too far from the original's formula, but there wouldn't be a sequel if there wasn't room for things to go pleasantly weird in a shooty, glowy arena of frenzied score-chasing twin-stick blasting.
