After popping up on the Taiwanese PS Store earlier this week, Sega have officially announced --

and subsequently confirmed -- that in the same vein of the original Yakuza title, its 2008 sequel will also be getting the Kiwami treatment. Unveiled during yesterday's livestream presentation, among other new titles, Yakuza Kiwami 2 has so far been confirmed as releasing on PS4 only. The remake will include additional story-based missions -- some of which featuring secondary protagonist Goro Majima once more -- and in similar vain to the previous Kiwami title, features newly recorded voice work.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 Limited Edition

A limited edition bundle has also been unveiled, though for the time being this only applies to Japan and as such, remains unclear whether the contents detailed will be available in the West. The bundle features a three-set CD soundtrack, in-game cosmetics, additional weapons, a PS4 home theme as well as one million in-game yen and more. Oh, and a copy of the game of course. Check out the Japanese announcement trailer below. Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be released in Japan on December 7. Western dates have yet to be announced though we will be seeing more of the game when it makes a presence at this year's upcoming Tokyo Games Show.
