Today, Nintendo announced new pair of Yo-Kai Watch games for the Nintendo 3DS. With Yo-kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps and Yo-kai Watch Blasters: White Dog Squad, gamers will be able to enjoy the series' first foray into action-RPG territory. The games are retaining the yo-kai collecting and battling that their fans enjoy, but Yo-kai Watch Blasters is breaking-away from the traditional turn-based combat in favor of real-time skirmishes.

Notable features include the ability to take on bosses and missions alone or cooperatively with up to three friends, taking direct control on one's yo-kai during battle and having the chance to meet and battle over 400 yo-kai. As for what exactly is the difference between the two games, it's a slight difference in content a la the Pokemon series. Both games have their own unique bosses, yo-kai and missions, and fans have the ability to trade between them.

Nintendo also announced that the game will receive a free post-release update that will add new side-stories, bosses, yo-kai and missions. Fans who possess save data from any of the Yo-Kai Watch 2 can link that data with the new games and acquire one of three special yo-kai.

Yo-Kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps and Yo-Kai Watch Blasters: White Dog Squad will launch for the Nintendo 3DS on September 7.
